Red Sand Canyon Estate
One of Porter Homes' most architecturally daring builds, the Red Sand Canyon Estate commands breathtaking views of the Colorado National Monument's red rock canyon walls. This two-story industrial-modern masterpiece features corten steel cladding panels, corrugated metal ceilings, exposed ductwork, and steel cable railings — all harmonized with reclaimed wood floors and a dramatic double-height great room. A resort-style pool and hot tub overlook the canyon, making this home as spectacular outside as within.
Design & Architecture
The exterior combines stucco, raw wood planks, stacked stone, and corten weathering steel panels for a bold material palette drawn from the surrounding desert landscape. Inside, a soaring two-story great room opens through floor-to-ceiling glass walls to canyon views. The steel-and-reclaimed-wood staircase with cable railings rises to an open loft. The chef's kitchen features cobalt-blue island cabinetry, stainless farmhouse sink, industrial pendant lights, and a full canyon view picture window above the countertop.
